How To Revitalise A Tired Look

Apply a couple of coats of lengthening mascara to your lashes.   If you have eyelash curlers, curling your eyelashes before you apply mascara gives your eyes the appearance of being brighter and more defined.  A mascara with a good brush though can also help curl your lashes.

Get blushing!   Apply a cream blusher to the apples of your cheeks and blend well.  A peachy shade will beat pink for a quick pick-me-up. Peach toned blushers brighten skin and take the focus away from dark under eye rings.  Powder blushers can sometimes make skin look flat and lifeless, but cream formulas give a radiant, youthful dewiness to the skin.  Applying a little blusher on your temples and forehead will also help to brighten your face, and cream blushers can also double up as lip tints as well so they can be very multi-functional

Contouring just below your blusher can help add definition to a puffy face. Brush a little powder bronzer or foundation, which is a shade darker than your skin, directly beneath your cheekbones. Dab a little along your jawline and temples as well.  Then, blend very well with a brush or makeup sponge until only a subtle hint of the colour is left.  If the bronzer isn't blended well enough, or if you use a shade that's too dark, you could end up looking like a pantomime dame!

To revive bedraggled bed head hair, spritz some dry shampoo on the roots of your hair and brush through.  Quickly blast the roots with your hairdryer on a medium to high setting to loosen the powder.  Use a finishing styler and voila! Your hair should now be looking revived and full of life! Of course, you should still catch up on your beauty sleep when you can to maintain your health and looks!

Three Tips For Tired Skin

Who hasn’t tried to get through the day having had far too little sleep the night before?  To help yourself to face the day ahead when you've not had enough sleep, there are quick ways to revive and invigorate yourself and to appear less exhaused!  Try these tips and you’ll feel perkier and look good:-

Splash cold water on your face!  Coolness constricts blood vessels, meaning the skin benefits from a smoother, more toned look.  Do this after washing your face in the morning and not only will your face feel refreshed and toned but it will also perk you up!  If you’re out and about, carry an atomizer filled with water with you which you can use to spritz your face throughout the day.

Moisturise your skin using a rich, occlusive moisturiser.  This will lock hydration into your skin. With a good moisturiser your skin will be softer, more supple and any wrinkles will appear less obvious.

If your skin is still looking a bit lifeless, pour some milk into a bowl and add a few ice cubes.  Dip a face flannel into the mixture and wring it out well.  Put the flannel over your face for a few minutes and then rinse. The PH of the milk together with the coldness makes for a calming and brightening of the skin.  It’s probably not a good idea to drink the milk afterwards though!!
