Ten Free Shaves? Male Skin Care Promo

If you've been guilty of stealing your wife or girlfriends skin care products, now could be the right time to differentiate and go and invest in some of your own.

Why? Well, differences exist between both skin types, and the products required to maintain balance. Apart from the obvious capacity to generate hair, a man's skin is some 25% thicker than a woman's. There are also differences in collagen density.

Superficially, there's more. The texture is rougher and there are differences in sebum composition and production. Following puberty men produce more sebum and this is usually the reason for acne hanging around for longer.

The aforementioned hair production is also part of puberty and the apearance of facial hair means an increase in sweat secretions. Men actually sweat twice as much as women and the consistency of this differs because of a lower ph value.

Because shaving forces exfoliation of the skin, regular activity with a razor actually induces accelerated cell turnover and exposes underdeveloped cells. This action could quite possibly contribute to the problems many men face with their skin.

I'm sure that many can remember the initial rash, irritation and redness associated with shaving. In some cases the skin adapts quite quickly, but for some the fight against razor burn and ingrown hairs can last a lifetime if left unchecked.

Fortunately there are many shave products and techniques available today that can help with calming down red, tight, post shaved skin.

If you've considered using a shave cream or oil, jump over to our other shaving resource on hubpages. Alternatively, take a look at our shaving products by skin type page.

Male Skin Care - Don't Let Stress Show On Your Face

If you've been casting a critical eye over your skin lately, and have decided that you could probably benefit from a little more than the regular shave, the choice of options has never been greater.

The thing is though, you don't have to go mad and fill your medicine cupboard with a load of male skin care products. All that's required is to find out what suits your skin, and kick things off with a basic regimen.

A quality gel based cleanser for starters will help to remove deep grease and grime from the pores.

Follow that up with an exfoliating scrub that is gentle enough to use daily, and you'll slough off dead skin cells that can lead to congestion.

Finally, finish up with a suitable moisturiser to keep dryness at bay.

Your skin will take a little time to adjust to a proper care regime, but after this initial period of adjustment you can look forward to a significant improvement in your complexion. Softer, smoother and less congested.

Once you've seen the difference, it's is unlikely you'll want to your skin to go back to what it once was.
