What's All This Beauty Stuff About Anyway?

Lets face it, with many peoples finances stretched to the limit, savvy skin care buyers aren't going to use products that don't deliver the goods. Many cosmetic companies are now leveraging the credibility that scientific research gives them.

Whilst the research is impressive, the achievements of some products have to be diluted as to avoid making medical claims.  The net result is that most skin care products actually achieve far more that say they do.

We have evolution to thank for our addiction to beauty products, this is because healthy skin is a way of demonstrating our attractiveness and suitability for a mate. There's also new research suggesting that humans may subconsciously pick up on messages in appearance. Messages that assume a state of health in any potential candidate.

A recent discovery suggested that booking yourself in for a make-over can have a healthy impact on your state of mind too.  Subjects who underwent a make-over treatment saw improvements in posture.  It seems that silver surfers can benefit too. The research showed that older people tripped and fell far less following a treatment.

Looks to us like there's never been a better excuse to go out and treat yourself...
