7 Simple Steps to Sexy Summer Feet
Are you nervous about revealing your feet to the world after they’ve been tucked away out of sight in boots and heavy shoes over the winter period? Don’t worry! Getting feet in tip-top condition for revealing in sandals and flip-flops during the summer, and beyond, is simple. Just take these easy steps and your feet will be soft and sexy before you know it.
- Soak your feet in warm water for 10-15 minutes and wash them using a regular soap, shower gel or a foot wash. Pat dry.
- Use a pumice stone to buff away stubbornly rough, hard skin on the soles of your feet and around the heels.
- Get those nail clippers out! Cut your toe nails straight across. Don’t cut them in a curved way as this can lead to nails becoming ingrown.
- Massage a deeply moisturizing lotion or cream into your feet. It’s important to use a lotion or cream that’s specifically formulated for feet, or rough, dry skin, as lighter weight body moisturisers are ineffective in dealing with hard skin on soles and heels and, in fact, can cause more hard skin to build up instead of getting rid of it! A great product to use is Dermalogica Ultrarich Body Cream, a unique liquefying formula which deeply moisturizes extra dry skin so it’s perfect for use on elbows, knees and heels. Not only that but it’s antioxidant rich, healing and non-greasy so you won’t be slipping around in those flip-flops!
- Massage cuticle oil into your cuticles and then very gently push them back.
- Use a nail buffer to smooth nails.
- Last but not least, apply your favourite nail polish. Of course, this is optional and men may not want to follow this step ...or there again, some more liberated men may want to!!
